How Not to Fix a Leak

I struggled as I paddled my kayak ashore. My kayak obviously had a crack and had taken on several gallons of water. I had patched the kayak several times prior to this, so this was nothing new. I got home and investigated for the new leak, but didn’t have a clue where it was coming from. I don’t mean to flatter myself, but my idea was brilliant, I’ll add a little water to the inside and watch where it leaks from. I put the kayak on some saw horses, shoved the hose inside and watched for leaks… CRASH, SPLASH… the whole bottom falls out of my kayak. Well, I know where it’s leaking from now.
